The Relevance of Vitamins to the Body's Health (Part 1)

New research indicates a link between sufficient vitamin and mineral levels
and losing and maintaining healthy body weight.

According to Dr. Bruce Ames, Professor of Molecular and Cell Biology at the
University of California, Berkeley, and a researcher at Children’s Hospital Oakland

Research Institute (CHORI), satiety—when the mind tells the body to stop eating—
may be linked to nutrients.

“We know calories and exercise play a role—but I think there’s more to it than that,”
says Ames.

“There are some 40 vitamins and minerals that are essential to the human body. If you
sit down to a meal that doesn’t give your body the nutrients it needs, your brain is
likely to get the signal to go on eating until you get them.” This can destroy your
hypothalamus tissue.

The results of research by a team from the Fred Hutchinson, Cancer Research Center
are consistent with Dr. Ames’s theory. The Seattle scientists found a link between
weight maintenance and vitamins B6 and B12. Their research focused on subjects
between the ages of 45 and 55—a common age for weight gain.

They noted a significant correlation between weight maintenance and subjects who
supplemented their diets with B vitamins.

Considerable attention has recently been given to the impact Calcium has on weight loss,
as well. In an initial study conducted by Dr. Michael Zemel, Professor of Nutrition and

Medicine at the University of Tennessee, volunteers who followed an eating plan that
included two servings of yogurt a day lost 11 pounds of body fat during the year long
trial without reducing caloric intake.

Looking and Feeling Healthier.

Everyone wants to feel better. Looking and feeling healthier.

It All Starts With Your Cells!

Good nutrition begins at the cellular level! As each cell is like a miniature body able to take in nutrients and eliminate waste products efficiently.

Essentials of a healthy cell are phytolipids and phytosterols. These make cell membranes more pliable, allowing better absorption of nutrients and better elimination of waste. So, when their surrounding membranes are healthy
and flexible, your cells work more efficiently—and you feel more energized and experience better overall health.

Studies show that phytolipids and phytosterols helps in cancer prevention with equal ability to protect against
cellular damage. It improves heart health and overall cellular efficiency

The richest source of phytosterols are whole grains, including wheat, rice, and soybeans. But these critical nutrients are routinely stripped from whole grains during processing to avoid spoilage. Unfortunately, a longer shelf life means a seriously depleted nutrient value!

Consuming an optimal amount of phytolipids and phytosterols every day can be a challenge. Here’s the good news:

Tre-en-en Grain Concentrates can bridge the gap between what your body gets and what it really needs.

GNLD understood this 54 years ago, when we first used lipids to create our Tre-en-en Grain Concentrates. Still, it’s no wonder the awareness of the importance of lipids and sterols has grown significantly as research continues in this field.

Tre-en-en feeds your body’s cells with the whole-grain lipids and sterols they need with an exclusive wholefood
blend of wheat, rice, and soy.

For a healthier more complete nutritional profile, Tre-en-en puts back into your diet what modern food processing takes out. So enjoy the many health benefits science is proving again and again—from more energized cells to disease prevention—with the power of Tre-en-en.

Modern Medicine and Your Health

There is stress crisis all over the world. It leads to increase in researches to proffer solutions and better still prevent its lethal result.

Modern medicine is an industry that wants more, not less, disease to treat.  Yet, use some type of complementary and alternative medicine

Complementary and alternative medicine refers to a wide-ranging collection of medical and health care systems, practices and products that aren't generally considered conventional medicine.  They include vitamin and herbal supplements, meditation, chiropractic treatment and acupuncture.

In a U.S. government survey more than 23,300 adults were interviewed about their use of complementary and alternative medicine.  More than 9,400 were also asked about their children's use of complementary and alternative medicine.

It was found that the use of techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, massage therapy, and yoga increased significantly.  The most common supplements used by adults are omega 3 fats, glucosamine, and ginseng.

Other findings from the survey showed that more women than men use complementary and alternative medicine (42.8 percent versus 33.5 percent).  Older, more educated and wealthier adults also used complementary and alternative medicine in greater numbers.
People with adequate knowledge of food supplements prefer them to the use drugs and western medicine because of "frightening" side effects.

It is becoming increasingly clear that conventional medicine is working against the public welfare.  Let us embrace alternative medicine for its importance on health versus illness, prevention versus cure.  People are hungry for a holistic alternative in which they feel treated like people, rather than diseases.

As the public demand for complementary and alternative medicine grows, a new and different type of provider will emerge.  It is your job as a proactive individual to evaluate what is moving you toward better health, and what isn't -- and that includes your relationship with your doctor.
